Helo to the writing, editing and contributing staff of SHades Magazine. I am first sending greetings from Illinnois State University. I am second sending greetings from myself, a college sophomore, writer and poet. I heard about your magazine through my father's word of mouth. I am quite pleased that this magazine was satrted and created for a group of young ladies who need encouraging words to read ona daily or weekly basis. I am enquiring some information about your magazine: what you as a magazine and flourishing group are looking for in writer and a story, how can I contribute to your magazine and at the same time promote myself and give young ladies my age and younger poems, stories and uplifting reading material. I am involved in an organization here at my schooll called Black Writer's Forum. We are a group of young people wo try to encourage knowledge of self and the political and social world around us through reading and writing and spoken word. We are in a current stage of reformation and I think that doing business with your magazine would benefit both of our organizations. If you or any member of your staff would ablige myslef and Black Writer's Forum in responding to this email, that would be great.
