According to the latest fact sheet published by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) there are approximately 40,000 new HIV infections occurring each year in the United States, people under 25 account for half of all those new HIV infections with women accounting for one-third. AIDS remains the Number one killer of African Americans aged 25-44.
